Vernon Post

Vern married Doris Roder on February 27, 1954 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.

He served in the Army Air Corp in WW II and the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion.

Vern worked at Griffin Doege Auto Parts for 45 years, retiring in 1991.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; his children, Elaine (Larry) Lorentzen of Belleville, Ill., Jerry (Sarah) Post of Boise, Idaho, Janice (Duane) Post-White of Mpls., Minn., Ted (Cathy) Post of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Arlene Fleming of Springfield, Va., Lois Eichinger of Chippewa Falls; a brother, Howard (Grayce) Post of Chippewa Falls; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Post of Chippewa Falls; five grandchildren, Laura (Adam Pecher) Lorentzen, Brennan and Tyler White, Madison and Samantha Post and many nieces and nephews.
